4B is really working to come together to listen to directions, and follow expectations. They did a great job last week and we’re hoping to keep this momentum in this stretch before the Thanksgiving holiday!
In Math students are discovering different strategies they can use to add and subtract mixed numbers. Many students have a strategy that works for them, and are working to a) explain that strategy and b) find other strategies that work as well.
In Reading students are noticing patterns and considering big, real-life issues that impact many different people to identify themes in their texts. They are also considering how these themes relate to the world around them.
In Writing students are editing and revising their fictional narratives to include meaningful dialogue, and a theme or “heart” of the story.
In Social Studies students are using nonfiction reading and note-taking skills to learn about how the climate of a region impacted daily life of Native Americans in the 1500s-1700s.
