Hello 4B Families!
Welcome back from April Vacation! I hope everyone had a restful, relaxing, and rejuvenating break and is ready to take on the rest of the school year.
We're hitting the ground running here in 4B. We've only got 44 days left together so it'll be a sprint to the end-summer will be here in no time!
In Math we are working on geometry to make sure we are ready for MCAS next week! Students are working on properties of triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons.
In Reading the students are working on presentations for their team research projects. They are working together to create Google Slide presentations that they will later present to the class.
In Writing students are continuing their work on the essays that go with their team research projects. The students have been collaborating to research their topics, but will have the chance to work independently to present their information in a persuasive essay.
In Social Studies we will begin our unit on immigration to the United States. The students will learn about different "push" and "pull" factors that cause people to immigrate. They will also learn about the unique contributions of many different groups of immigrants to American culture.
